Wolfie

How we met
Wolfie belonged to my aunt. She was a starving kitten when she was found only equipped with half a tail. We spent some time living with Wolfie at my aunt’s house, and she was always skittish. But she started to warm up to us. When we moved out, my aunt insisted that Wolfie go with us.

What Wolfie liked.
Wolfie lived to hunt. She loved bringing home small rodents and birds to the family, always with a sense of pride. She enjoyed being around the family and the other pets, but never too close to the dogs. She loved a little bit of milk from time to time, and, of course, wet food. I went through a phase of meditating and believed that I had a psychic link with Wolfie. I think she liked that too.

Wolfie's legacy.
Wolfie will be remembered as a loving and independent pet. She never grew larger than a kitten. She would wait to welcome whoever came home. She enjoyed her time out on the hunt, but she was equally content lying around the house, keeping the family company. She will always be remembered fondly and warmly. She sadly died of unknown causes shortly before our family moved. We always called her “squirrel cat,” because of her small size and her tendency to sit up like a squirrel.
