Mina
2010 - 2025
Our sweet Mina came into our lives April 16, 2011, at a time when we discovered we couldn't have children. She was truly an angel and healed our broken hearts. She was a rescue, transported from Georgia and from the moment we saw her at the PetSmart adoption event, the connection was immediate. It was absolutely meant to be and even a miracle.
She was a Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix, originally named Noodles, but we chose Mina and it fit her perfectly. She was very timid at first, but we brought her out to places and got her used to people, she loved that, and it brought her out of her shell. She was eventually dubbed "the ambassador of love and sunshine" by someone who ran the local dog park. That was a fact. She was a typical Jack Russel in many ways, spunky, funny, full of personality and a skilled escape artist. She loved to break out of the yard and go off on her own adventures. Very frustrating, but she was so cute and irresistable, you forgave her very quickly. She was also very kind and loving and so affectionate. She loved everybody and everyone loved her, even strangers. She touched everyone.
Some of her favorite things were: balls of any kind, toys (she had over 100!), her yard, anything that moved in the yard, kayaking, big dogs mostly, dog park, her extended family, walking in her big yard,
following her Daddy on the tractor, hunting, and her brother Milo, just to name a few. We had so much fun with her, taking her on car rides, everyday trips to town, walks, a couple shore trips and especially kayaking.
There's so much more to say about this beautiful soul but I will end with this. To our sweet Mina, the time with you was too short but we are eternally grateful for the gift of having you in our lives. You changed us forever. We will carry on all the lessons you taught us, we will love each other, we will love Milo who already misses you and most important, we will honor your memory by living a full life, someday, when our hearts are better healed. We thank you. Please come visit us and give us a sign now and again that you're at peace and happy. We will love you forever and look forward to the day when we meet again, where we know you will be waiting for us.
