Mason

2012 - 2026

Today we say goodbye to Mason, our beloved dog, faithful companion, and cherished family member, who blessed our lives for 14 wonderful years.
Mason was so much more than a pet he was a son, a best friend, a constant source of comfort, and a beloved member of the family. Through every stage of life, he was there. He shared in our happiest moments, stood beside us through our hardest days, and somehow always knew exactly when he was needed most.
One of Mason's most remarkable gifts was his instinct. Though he was never trained as a service dog, he seemed to possess an extraordinary ability to know when Dad was experiencing a medical emergency, staying close and offering comfort when it mattered most. His loyalty and awareness were nothing short of amazing.
Mason was also a dog of great priorities—especially when it came to chicken nuggets. No matter how deeply asleep he appeared to be, he would instantly awaken the moment Arianna tried to sneak by with chicken nuggets. It was as if he had a sixth sense dedicated entirely to detecting his favorite snack.
Pizza Wednesdays were among his favorite traditions. Mason knew the rules: if he wanted pizza crust later, he had to finish all of his dog food first. And finish it he did, making sure he never missed out on his well-earned treat.
His hearing was legendary. Long before anyone else knew Dad was home, Mason would spring to attention, somehow sensing that he was only minutes away. Whether it was the sound of a distant vehicle or simply the bond they shared, Mason always knew.
He found joy in life's simple pleasures: going outside, playing fetch, feeling the wind in his fur, and chasing squirrels with the determination and confidence of a puppy. No matter how old he became, Mason never accepted that he was aging. In his heart, he was forever young.
Few things brought him more excitement than the arrival of his BarkBox. He would eagerly inspect every toy, carefully deciding which one was worthy of becoming his newest favorite while the others met their inevitable fate.
Mason was showered with love from everyone around him especially from his favorite Hooman’s especially Ryan, Arianna, Braxton, Brian, Evan, Brandan, and Adan, who never missed an opportunity to give him pets, scratches, attention, and affection. He returned that love tenfold, touching the hearts of everyone, fortunate enough to know him.
To know Mason was to love him. He brought laughter, comfort, loyalty, and unconditional love into our lives every single day. His paw prints remain forever on our hearts, and the memories he gave us will be treasured for the rest of our lives.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Mason spent fourteen years doing exactly what he did best: loving his family and being the very best boy.
Run free, Mason. Chase every squirrel, catch every ball, enjoy all the chicken nuggets and pizza crusts your heart desires, and know that you will always be loved, always be missed, and never be forgotten.
Good boy. Best friend. Family forever.
Mason
14 years of unconditional love, loyalty, and joy.
