Mac

How we met
Over Christmas in the late 80s in Dallas my family watched a friend’s Boston Terrier named Mac. After that the Boston Terrier became my favorite breed. I told my 5th grade teacher I wouldn’t grow up right if I didn’t have a dog and my teacher told my parents what I said. On Christmas Eve in 2005 “Santa” gave my Dad a puppy Boston Terrier to give to me, I was so excited I was speechless. He was the most adorable little puppy. Of course, we named him Mac.

Mac's legacy.
He was a good boy, my baby boy, definitely a dude and kinda slobbery and gross sometimes. He was sneaky too, even though he wasn’t allowed in the living room unless he was invited we always noticed there was a fresh warm spot on the couch where he would lay until he heard the garage door. He was known for his extreme over excitement when anyone came to visit. And as for the thing I said about growing up right if I had a dog, I think it’s true. Life without a dog or any animal is just wrong.

What Mac liked.
One Easter he found a hidden hard boiled egg and ate the whole thing. After that anytime he heard an egg crack or got a whiff of one he would come running out of nowhere and beg for some. Same thing with whip cream, if he heard someone using the can he’d come running for a squirt on his nose to lick off. He also loved his Nylabones.
