Oh Darla Jean. My sweet sweet girl. My angel on earth. Tonight (8/11/24) at 11:57pm, your wings were ready… but my heart was certainly not. I can’t even put into words how much I’m going to miss your slobbery couch snuggles & you being my shadow wherever I went. These past two and three-quarter years that you were officially in our pack was such a blessing. I couldn’t be more greatful that your last few golden years were spent by my side. My only wish is that you came into my life sooner, so I could have loved you longer. I know we were on borrowed time & extra innings as it was but thank you for hanging on as long as you could.

I hope you are running free again eating all of the snacks you could ever want. Ripping up all the stuffies you can get your mouth on and chasing all of the balls the angles are throwing to you. Relaxing in the sunshine & taking all of the naps on the fluffiest clouds heavens got. No more pain. No more lameness. Restored back to your true glory.

I love you so much my bean. Rest eternally in the sweetest peace.
