2012 - 2024

Our hearts are shattered, and it is with deep sorrow that we share the news that our beloved Chloe crossed over the rainbow bridge on August 15, 2024.

Chloe came into our lives in September 2012, at just 18 months old, and quickly became a cherished member of our family. Her journey to us wasn’t easy—surrendered twice to a shelter, it was Linda of Posh Pets Rescue who saved her, giving Chloe the chance to find her forever home with us. And on February 14, 2013, our “foster failure” became our forever love.

Chloe was not just a pet; she was a beautiful, soulful companion who filled our lives with love and joy. She wasn’t perfect, but she was perfect for us. Her quirks made her all the more endearing, and though she lived with her fur siblings, she wasn’t always a fan of other dogs. But somehow, we made it work—she even shared playful moments with her fur sister, Emma and fur brother Peanut. She never bothered our cats...she knew not to push the boundaries.

On our walks, Chloe was always by my side, fiercely loyal and attentive. If I had to step away, she would refuse to budge until I returned, her devotion unwavering. She was my shadow, my right hand, always there with a wagging tail and joyful barks to greet us when we came home.

Chloe had a special bond with our neighbors, especially Manny, who we all believed she knew from a past life. Her excitement when she saw him was unmatched. She also held a special place in Melanie’s heart, our yearly beach vacation host, where Chloe was always welcomed with open arms.

Chloe lived a life full of adventure—car rides, parks, beaches, vacations, and visits to her favorite shop, Paw Dazzle in Smithville, where she was spoiled with freshly baked treats. She also loved vanilla ice cream once in a while. Yet, no matter where she went or what she did, her favorite part of the day was always mealtime and the patient anticipation of her next snack.

She was more than just a dog; she was our family. Her playful spirit, unwavering loyalty and infectious joy brought immense happiness into our lives. Chloe, you will forever be missed and cherished. Rest peacefully my sweet girl.

In honor of Chloe, please give your fur-babies an extra hug today and spoil them with an extra treat. Chloe would have wanted that.
