We're heartbroken to share that our little Velvet has crossed the rainbow bridge far too soon 💔🐰🌈

Velvet- aka Miss Boops aka Sweet Pea aka Violence- made us fall in love from the moment we met. Once our tiny 2.9 lb holland lop hopped home in October last year, she immediately decided that this would be *her* house. She flopped, booped, and hopped to the tallest spot possible, like the top of the couch where she would reign over all.

We adored her unique personality: she was feisty yet friendly, she wasn't afraid of anything, and she had absolutely no sense of personal space!

In January, she met her sweet husbunn, Taffy, and by March they were fully bonded thanks to guidance from Luv-N-Bunns and unmatched dedication from Greg. The two of them binkyed, groomed, and flopped all day long and they didn't pass up an opportunity to create some mischief and then put themselves in jail.

As bunny parents know, GI stasis (when bunnies stop eating and stop 💩) is an extreme medical emergency. Greg got her in asap to the emergency exotic vet and they did everything they could until they said the kindest act would be to help her no longer be in pain. Her loving Taffy was by her side through the end. We are so proud of his support.

While we don't know her exact age, Velvet was probably only about 4 years old and she called our home her queendom for her last 10 months. We were honored to be her loyal subjects.
