Pet Cremation for Ramsey, NJ family

Our Caring Staff Guide You Through the Pet Cremation Process

Overcoming the loss of a pet is never easy, but most especially when it happens unexpectedly. Working so closely with families going through pet loss, the Abbey Glen staff understands this grief. Since 1975, we have made it our steadfast commitment to help our families move through the process of memorializing a pet with the guidance, support and comfort they need and deserve.

One Bergen County Pet Owner's Abbey Glen Experience

Linda, a Ramsey, NJ resident, unexpectedly lost her beloved pet, Rocky. She recently took the time to share her experience with our staff. We always appreciate the feedback from our clients – it allows us to continue to provide the cremation / burial services, support and processes that our clients find most meaningful during their time of need. Her note read in part, "I lost my boy unexpectedly last week and Carol at Abbey Glen did everything she could to work with the staff and ease my pain while taking care of my boy. Everyone was so kind and wonderful, as well as so respectful, during the viewing and the last moments with my boy. I honestly can't say enough good things. A sincere thank you from the bottom of my heart."

Pet Bereavement Support and Resources

At Abbey Glen, we realize grief shows up when you least expect it. And, while grief is personal, no one needs to face it alone. Abbey Glen's certified grief counselors provide individual support and support references that include pet-bereavement counseling services, pet-loss support hotlines, local or online pet-bereavement groups, books, videos and articles. Many of these resources are found right on the Abbey Glen website. Recovery from the pain caused by death of a pet, as with all other losses, must include the process of discovering and completing all unfinished emotional business. This process is detailed very well in The Grief Recovery Handbook for Pet Loss by Russell Friedman, Cole James, and John W. James. Due to his experience, professionalism and knowledge in grief recovery, Abbey Glen owner Derek Cooke was asked to contribute a chapter to this book, discussing the importance of memorializing our pets.

If you need aftercare for your pet, we are here to help you through the emotionally difficult cremation or burial process.
Our compassionate staff will be there every step of the way as you say goodbye to your forever friend.
