Developed
BY Caring Pet Owners, Especially FOR Caring Pet Owners.
Designed
in the early 1980's by one of the country's leading national memorial
architects, Abbey
Glen was developed
with all of the features and policies necessary in
today's world to ensure a protected and undisturbed resting place
for all animals.
Not
a Traditional Cemetery
Although
it would have been a labor of love under any circumstance, it
was not our desire to become caretakers of a traditional cemetery.
Instead, we set out to create a monument to our cherished pets
in the form of a 'memorial park'. Memorial park means that as
an alternative to the upright headstones and rather gloomy atmosphere
of a traditional cemetery, Abbey Glen offers an impeccable manicured
park-like setting with flush memorial markers resulting in an
uplifting park-like atmosphere. While the memorial park theme
has been appealing to adults who have come to Abbey Glen, we have
found a special reward in the gentler introduction for children
who visit the Park to help make arrangements for a lost special
friend. David, Lenore, Derek, Kevin and Brian Cooke, along with
their pet loving staff , have committed
themselves to the care of animals in one form or another.

Since 1965, they have cared for family pets of all types at
Roxdane Kennels Pet Care
Center. Located in suburban Warren, New Jersey, Roxdane cares for pets while
their families are away from home. Roxdane's facilities house over
150 canine companions, 75 felines and a multitude of birds and exotics.
Also housed at Roxdane is an international pet shipping headquarters
servicing all of the major airports in the New York-New Jersey metropolitan
area.
As
part of the long-term relationships with pets and their families
at Roxdane,
there came
the inevitable question concerning the available options for families
who had experienced the loss of a loyal companion at home. This
sparked the development of the Abbey Glen Pet Memorial Park in
1982.
Since 1982, Abbey Glen has attracted a dedicated staff of animal
lovers and pet owners who are committed to providing compassionate
services for fellow animal lovers who experience the loss of a
cherished pet.
The key to ensuring the quality and integrity of any cremation or
burial service for loyal animal companions is to look for a facility
like Abbey Glen where you will find people striving to repay animals
for their unique and valued contribution to society.
Just
a few of the modern conveniences offered by Abbey Glen:
Deed Restriction… The land
deed to Abbey Glen's 14 central acres has been restricted through
the Sussex County, New Jersey Recorders Office so that it may
never be developed or utilized as anything other than a pet memorial
park.
Permanent
Care Fund… Permanent care fees from the Park are deposited
into an irrevocable trust fund. These monies may never be withdrawn,
but the fund will always generate interest monies, which will
provide for the continued care and maintenance of the Park.
Attending
Services… Whether Formal Burial or Individual Cremation
is chosen, caring pet owners and family members are invited to
attend their pets' service at Abbey Glen. The attending of services
is meant to provide the opportunity for saying good-bye as well
as a way for you, as a loving pet owner, to insure that your wishes
are followed to the 'T'.
Equipment
and Products… From the equipment used to maintain and
manicure the Park to the state-of-the-art crematories and the
selection of caskets, markers and urns, Abbey Glen provides the
best of everything for animal companions who have so unselfishly
given their unconditional love and companionship.
